Nate's First Month

So, after a month of REFUSING to sleep in his bassinet at night... NATE HAS SLEPT IN HIS BASSINET THE WHOLE NIGHT! Now, I do not mind him sleeping in our bed from time to time, but the absolute refusal to sleep anywhere else but our bed at night was becoming a little ridiculous. He still does not sleep through the night, but he will go back to sleep in his bassinet after eating! Oh, the simple joys of parenting! Also, in the past fews days, Nathaniel has decided that eating every 4 hours is no longer satisfying and that he wants to eat every two hours! At least I know that he is a growing little boy! In other news, as if you need to know this, the bell from his circumcision fell off... he seems to be a much happier boy now! He no longer screams in pain when we change his diaper, that is such a wonderful relief!

We had a wonderful time with my family while they were out here and we miss them dearly already! We cannot wait to see them again! Not only did I enjoy there company, I enjoyed them taking care of Nate for a few hours each morning so that I could get some undisturbed sleep... such a nice relief! I wish that I had more energy to get up with them in the mornings, but those middle of the night feedings can really drain a women, no matter how few there are and how short they may be. I LOVE being Nate's mommy and would not change it for the world! Dan is such a wonderful Daddy and is completly in love with his "little dude"! It is so wonderful to see Dan's eyes light up when he looks at his little boy! I am so in love with both of my boys!

On Friday Dan blessed Nate... it was the most beautiful baby blessing that I have ever heard and I am not just saying that because it was my son being blessed. Almost everyone that was present for the blessing was crying by the end of it! It was so blessing. Dan was a little shell shocked when he opened his eyes and saw that everyone was crying (or at least tearing up)! Dan had not expected this to happen and was completly shocked! Nate's blessing was a truly wonderful event! I will post pictures from his blessing once I get them (I have to get them from my mom and dad)! One day I will also finish telling the story of Nate's birth... one day!
