Announcing Penelope Jean Weber

We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Penelope Jean Weber. Penelope joined our clan on December 30, 2009 at 2:23 am. Penelope weighed in at 6 lbs 14 ounces and is 19 inches long. Despite having to be in the NICU she is doing well. Her oxygen saturation was dropping too low when she slept because she has some fluid in her lungs and had a possible infection in her lungs. At one point the morning she was on 75% oxygen, had a feeding tube, and was receiving IV fluids and anitbiotics. She is now down to 21% oxygen (we suspect she will be off the oxygen in the morning), she is breastfeeding like a champ, and her white blood cell count is doing much better! We look forward to getting to take her home soon! Will post about her delivery later on when I have finally gotten some sleep!

Congratulations again. You looked so happy and exhausted at the same time. What an experience.

SO exciting I can't wait to see her. I need to get over this blasted fever first. little Penny doesn't need any of that.
