Happy Father's Day

First things first, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAN! OK, I know that it is a day late, but hey, I was busy yesterday! Thank you Dan for being such a great father to Nate and such a wonderful husband and best friend to me. You are all I could have ever dreamed of! I love you!

OK now... I know, I know, I changed the blog again! I just got sick of the other one because it felt too dark to me. I wanted something that felt more lively to me... I dunno what is wrong with me. Perhaps it is that everything changes around here so much every day that I feel the need to reflect this in our blog as well, that or I am just hormonal :D

Nate is changing so much! He is much more active and alert these days! Having said that, I AM EXHAUSTED. Him being awake means, of course, that I have to be awake. At least before he would sleep for 2 hours, get up to eat and go back to sleep... and therefore, I could too! I do love having him be awake more though... he is such a happy baby (usually)! For some reason, which I cannot explain, Nate has decided that 6:30 am is the perfect time to woke up for the day! I have decided that some how Nate was switched at birth with another baby (NOT possible) and that he is not our biological child because anyone who knows Dan and I well enough KNOWS that we DO NOT wake up at 6:30 am! Dan told Nate this morning that we were not morning people... I do not think that Nate particularly cares all that much though! I feel bad because I am SO not a morning person that it takes an insane amount of effort for me to even speak in the morning and I want to tell Nate good morning and I love you when I wake up, but oh my gosh... words rarely flow from my mouth before Dan leaves for work at 9 am and even then it is just I love you, drive safe! I am thinking that I may have to plot to change Nate's schedule... but this is risky business! Nate is growing so much! It is funny, people still comment on how small he is, but to us, he is getting big! He fits in his 0-3 month clothes now (granted they are a little big... but they should be)! Last time we weighed him he was at 9.4 pounds! He seems to be right on track... we have a pediatrician appointment at the end of next week... so I will know for sure then!

OK, this next picture is for Catie. Catie posted a picture of her pregnant belly at 33 weeks not too long ago. This is a picture of me at my baby shower in NC, I am 31 weeks. Ha! Yes Catie you are right, you should lighten up, things could be worse, you could look like I did! Not saying that I looked bad or anything (I actually think that I am a cute pregnant women), but just saying that you are not that big at all!
Well, I better be off now... Nate has a poopy (oh joy)! Speaking of which... Nate does not poop very often... like once a day at most, usually every other day. I have been worried about it sort of, but he seems to be doing fine, gaining weight like he should and what not.

Hey no worries, I change my blog background like every week or so... variety is the spice of life. :) And on the "it could be worse" topic, my friends' baby wakes them up at 4am every morning. So ... maybe 6:30's not all that bad.

don't worry about the messy diapers. Benjamin wouldn't have them for days at a time, and I got sooo worried. I took him into the dr. The dr. took off the diaper, pushed on ben's tummy to see if he was a constipated baby, and all of this poop came out, non-stop for several minutes! I was laughing my head off, as Benjamin also soaked this dr. The dr. asked the assistant for a chuck to help control the mess since a diaper definitely wasn't going to be big enough. Glad that didn't happen while he was sitting on my lap or something :D
